Service Projects

 One of the requirements for Lettering in Copper Hills Lacrosse is participating in at least one Team Service Project.  Here are three options that are available to players and their families.  You may participate in as many as you like.


CHLax will be participating with TEAM RAMONA in the 2011 Race for the Cure 5K Fun Run/Walk and Fundraiser
  • Team Ramona was formed to honor teammate Ben Smith’s mom, Ramona Smith, who passed away from Breast Cancer last fall.
  • Fundraising April 8th – 25th.  All donations must be turned in by April 25th at 9pm to Coach Evans.
  • Fundraising can be done by going door-to-door, going in groups to store entrances (with permission from managers), email/social media blast and by asking friends & family to donate. Donations are tax deductible.
  • Please wear your CHLax Jerseys when fundraising and PLEASE be polite.  You are representing The Team, the Susan G. Komen Foundation and Team Ramona.
  • 5K Run/Walk– May 7 at 8 am at the Gateway Mall.  Participants will receive Team Ramona T-Shirts & participate in Pre-Race Fitness Warm Up.  The race starts at 8:30 am.
  • MAP to The Gateway Mall
  • All donations will go to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

CHLax will join with 'Comcast Cares Day' to provide service to West Jordan City·  
  • April 30 from 7 am—1 pm
  • Meet at West Jordan City Park (exact meeting place to be determined.) MAP to West Jordan City Park
  • 7 am– 8 am: Breakfast & Kick off, Participants will receive T-Shirts
  • 8 am– 12 pm: Give service in one of 3 areas: Domestic Violence Shelter, West Jordan Park Beautification, or Jordan River Parkway Restoration
  • 12 pm– Lunch will be served to participants.

CHLax will help honor Fallen Utah Officers
  • May 4th at 6 pm at the Utah State Capitol Building
  • Meet at the Utah Law Enforcement Memorial (on the west side of the capitol)
  • Visit UtahsFallen.org   to learn more about this memorial
  • Participants will set up flags representing Utah Law Enforcement Officers killed in the line of duty.
